There are a couple of different official Warhammer dice sets for the Iron Hands, with the most recent one released for Warhammer 40,000. The design of both variants aligns with the Chapter's lore, featuring a mechanical aesthetic and the Chapter's iconic iconography.
Warhammer 40,000 Iron Hands dice (metallic grey swirl)
This is the most recent version of the dice, previewed by Warhammer Community in October 2025.
Color scheme: The dice are cast in a metallic grey swirl acrylic plastic with crisp white ink markings. This reflects the Iron Hands' mechanical and unyielding nature.
Iconography: The stylized gauntlet icon of the Iron Hands replaces the number 6 on each die. The other faces display traditional pips.
Quantity and size: The set contains 16 six-sided dice, each measuring 16mm.
Warhammer 40,000 Iron Hands dice (black and silver)
Another official Games Workshop set features a different design but a similar mechanical theme.
Color scheme: These dice are black with silver markings.
Iconography: Each die features the Iron Hands icon on the 6 face. The 1 face features the Prime Helix, the symbol of the Space Marine Apothecarion. The 2–5 faces are marked with small cog-like icons instead of traditional pips.
Quantity and size: This set contains 20 six-sided, square-cornered dice, each measuring 16mm.
Common thematic elements
Regardless of the specific version, all Iron Hands dice are themed to reflect the Chapter's core tenets:
Themed appearance: The colors and markings are chosen to represent the Chapter's close ties to the Adeptus Mechanicus and its obsession with bionic augmentation.
Emblem: The inclusion of the Iron Hands' gauntlet symbol reinforces the dice's faction-specific identity.
Mechanical focus: The use of cog symbols on some of the dice further emphasizes the Chapter's belief that flesh is weak and mechanical augmentation is the only path to strength.
