The Farsight Cadre is a specialist, battlesuit-heavy strike force within the Warhammer 40,000 T'au Empire faction, known for its aggressive, mobile, and precision-focused warfare doctrine. Unlike other T'au forces that adhere strictly to Ethereal doctrine, the Farsight Cadre operates as part of the independent Farsight Enclaves, a break-away faction led by the renegade Commander O'Shovah, also known as Commander Farsight.

Doctrine and Playstyle
The Farsight Cadre embodies the T'au military philosophy of Mont'ka (the Killing Blow). Their tactics emphasize rapid, surgical strikes and close-range combat prowess, a departure from the traditional T'au focus on long-range, coordinated firepower known as Kau'ui or the Greater Good. They operate without Ethereal oversight, making them a force built around flexibility, high-risk maneuvers, and raw firepower delivered via advanced battlesuit technology. 
Key Components
The Farsight Cadre is an elite army composed primarily of powerful battlesuits and their associated drones. A typical force, such as that found in the official Games Workshop Battleforce box, includes: 
1x Commander Farsight: The leader, known for his unique command style and the use of the powerful Fusion Blade in close combat.
1x Riptide Battlesuit: A towering, durable unit with a potent nova reactor, providing heavy firepower capable of dominating key objectives and wiping out tough enemies.
1x Broadside Battlesuit: Specialized heavy fire support, typically armed with a heavy rail rifle for armour penetration or high-yield missile pods for general devastation.
3x Crisis Battlesuits: Highly adaptable core units that can be equipped with a wide array of weapon systems (plasma rifles, flamers, fusion blasters, burst cannons, missile pods, and shield generators) for various tactical roles.
Associated Drones: Various gun, shield, and marker drones that enhance the main battlesuits' defensive capabilities, offensive output, and tactical coordination on the battlefield. 
Lore
Commander Farsight established the Farsight Enclaves after the Ethereals with his expeditionary force were lost, defying orders to return to T'au space. Branded a renegade and a traitor by the Ethereal High Council, he turned the worlds he had claimed into a well-defended fortress. The Cadre fights for the ideals of the Greater Good but without the manipulation of the Ethereals, incorporating auxiliary races like Kroot and even humans into their ranks.
