The Canoptek Doomstalker is an imposing, automated Necron walker that serves as both a tireless sentinel for their masters' armouries and a mobile heavy-fire support engine. It is characterized by its tall, spindly tripod design and is designed to annihilate enemies at extreme ranges.
Core Lore & Role
Tireless Sentinel: These constructs stride with eerie grace, surveying battlefields or guarding ancient vaults. They are programmed to react with swift retribution via "vengeance sub-protocols" if their Necron masters fall in battle.
Battlefield Function: It acts as a towering mobile weapons platform. Its height allows it to see over most terrain and threaten large swathes of the board.
Key Weapons & Abilities
Doomsday Blaster: A back-mounted heavy weapon with two fire profiles. It is most devastating when the Doomstalker remains stationary, unleashing its full cataclysmic potential.
Twin Gauss Flayers: Auxiliary weapons used to defend the construct from enemies that manage to get too close.
Sentinel Construct: A defensive ability that allows the Doomstalker to provide covering fire for nearby friendly units, often firing Overwatch automatically when an ally is charged.
Durability: It is protected by a 4+ invulnerable save, making it a "pain to kill" despite its exposed appearance.
Tabletop Performance (10th Edition)
Stats: It features Toughness 8, 12 Wounds, and an 8" Move.
Synergy: It is highly effective in the Canoptek Court detachment, where it gains significant buffs like hit rerolls when within the power matrix.
